From time to time, people say to us “OK, so what happens at the IMDC?”. Here we show you quickly and easily what we are all about.
 Who are the members?
Our membership comprises interim managers,
interim providers (agencies) and others connected with the interim
management industry. To see a list of people attending our events
130 people sat down for
our last dinner and, regretfully, we had to say to some of our members
that they should have booked earlier.
The message is plain;
please BOOK EARLY. The dates are here for next year:
www.imdc.info/future_events.htm

What do you do?
Well, we meet five times
a year at Armoury House in the City of London. We could easily call
the events ‘Making Networking Easy and Relaxed, Whilst Having
Fun’. You can read some comments.
Yes, it is a dressing-up occasion, but we are dining in very elegant surroundings in the heart of the City of London. To fire-up your imagination, here are some photographs.

Why
should I be there?
The top interim providers attend,
many with corporate membership so that their business is represented
at every event. A large number of very successful interim managers
clamour to be there. So too do others involved in the industry,
all trying to spread the word about interim management to industry
and the press.

How much?
To put it simply, you can’t
afford not to be there! The one-off joining fee is £50. The
annual subscription for members is a modest £75. The dinners
cost £69 including all wines. All plus VAT which, if you are
registered, is recoverable (unless, of course, you are on the FRS
scheme!) and we suggest the cost is allocated to ‘marketing’.
Where else could you dine in the City of London so well for so little
whilst furthering your career or business? If you want to know about

Who runs the IMDC?
Competex Ltd is a specialist accountant. Specialist because, although it is a firm of chartered accountants, all it does is look after interim managers and management consultants. Competex is, if you like, the honest broker being neither interim manager nor interim provider and, therefore, perfectly placed to hold such events.
The Competex website is the largest single source of information for interim managers on the internet: www.competex.co.uk

What else should I know?
If you have checked, or
are about to check, the list of
attendees you may notice a category called ‘Paying Guests’.
These are people who have expressed an interest in us, so we have
invited them to come along to join us for a dinner to see What’s
Going On before becoming a member. Why don’t you
do the same…? For your first visit, you just pay for the
dinner before deciding if you wish to join. Be warned though that
most who do this, quickly sign up to become members!
Our secretary is Pippa. Give her a call on 01306 882020.
